Austin State University in 1982.  He then worked at the OU Health Science Center as a medical researcher until attending the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he graduated with his J.D. in 1990. SHARON STRICKLIN

LEGAL ASSISTANT

Raised in the Texas Panhandle, Sharon arrived in Oklahoma City in 1977 having worked in various administrative and secretarial positions with Phillips Petroleum Company and a private practice attorney. She raised three children on a 13-acre “mini-farm” in Eastern Oklahoma County before joining Van Meter Law Firm as a Legal Assistant in 2006 bringing her devotion, strong work ethic, and nurturing personality.

Sharon attends LifeChurch Edmond and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking, and making people laugh.

LINN HEAGEN

LEGAL ASSITANT

A legal assistant with the firm since November 2008, Linn Heagen was born and raised in central Oklahoma. She is a 1980 graduate of Choctaw High School. Linn worked in OG&E’s Purchasing Department for 4 years before entering the legal field, where she worked as a legal secretary for two law firms. Her husband’s employment took them out of state for a year, at which time she worked in a dental office prior to the birth of the first of their two sons. Linn then spent the next 20 years as a homemaker and full-time mother.

Linn enjoys gardening and walking/running. She and her husband Mike also enjoy riding their motorcycle together, both locally and on cross-country trips. They have recently ventured into the world of farming, raising chickens and enjoying their fresh eggs.
