David W. Van Meter

A BV® Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Rated™ attorney, David W. Van Meter received his B.S. Combined Science degree in Chemistry and Biology with a Pre-Professional emphasis toward the medical field from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1982.  He then worked at the OU Health Science Center as a medical researcher until attending the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he graduated with his J.D. in 1990.  He focuses the majority of his legal work on—

David is active in his church, Men's Ministry, Business Development, Civic Committees and other organizations, including Big Brothers.  He enjoys spending time with his wife and family, the mountains, snow skiing, exercise, outdoor activities, and gardening.  He is also a motivational speaker and frequently volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.

David and his wife Kelly married in 1987 and are the proud parents of quadruplets.  Their children participate in church, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, soccer, junior civics, art, choir, band, National Honor Society, student council, and DECA.

The scripture David relates to his legal work is Deuteronomy 16:20, "Justice, and only justice, shall you pursue."

Kevin Walker

Attorney W. Kevin Walker has been practicing law in Oklahoma since his admittance in 2002.  He received his B.S. from Southern Nazarene University in 1997 and his J.D. from Oklahoma City University Law School in 2001.  He spends the majority of his time representing clients injured as a result of wrongful death, medical negligence, product liability, nursing home negligence, motor vehicle wrecks, and trucking accidents.  Kevin has 12 years experience practicing prehospital emergency medicine as a paramedic.

A member of the Midwest City-Del City School Board since 2004, Kevin is a recipient of the Board of Education Excellence Award.  His legal and volunteer memberships include—

Bob Rapp

Robert J. Rapp, Jr. has been a lead trial paralegal in more than 20 Oklahoma and Texas state and federal trials since receiving his paralegal certificates in 1991.  He has also been a lead paralegal for arbitration hearings in Oklahoma City, Denver, New York City, Atlanta, Chicago, Phoenix, and Tampa.  He is well-versed in corporate law, intellectual property law, family law, and general litigation.

In his free time, Bob enjoys golfing, playing tennis, swimming, and traveling.  He is a member of Bishop McGuiness Alumni Association and the Phi Gamma Delta Alumni Association.  He is a volunteer at the St. Charles Borromeo church.

Lorri Anderson

Lorri Anderson began her legal career in 1989.  A 1990 graduate from the paralegal certification program at Southern Technical College, Lorri worked for two law firms as a legal secretary before joining Van Meter Law Firm in 1997.  She provides excellent litigation support to our attorneys.

Lorri skydives as often as possible for relief from the high pressures of her litigation career.  She also spends time canoeing the Lower Mountain Fork River in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and has been known to rappel down the cliffs in the Broken Bow area.

Sharon Stricklin

Sharon Stricklin has been a legal assistant with Van Meter Law Firm since 2006.  Born in Hawaii and raised in Texas, Sharon arrived in Oklahoma City in 1977 after working in various administrative and secretarial positions for Phillips Petroleum Company and a private practice attorney.  She spent many years raising her family on a 13-acre "mini-farm" in Oklahoma County before she joined our firm.

Sharon and her husband Mark have been blessed with three children.  She and her family are active members of Cornerstone Church in Midwest City where they are involved in children and youth ministries.  In her spare time, Sharon enjoys coaching volleyball, playing with her boxer Roxie, spending time with her family on Oklahoma lakes, and making people laugh.

Linn Heagen

A legal assistant with the firm since November 2008, Linn Heagen was born and raised in central Oklahoma. She is a 1980 graduate of Choctaw High School.  Linn worked in OG&E's Purchasing Department for 4 years before entering the legal field, where she became a legal secretary for two law firms.  Her husband's employment took them out of state for a year, at which point she worked in a dental office prior to the birth of the first of their two sons.  Linn then spent the next 20 years as a homemaker and full-time mother.

Linn enjoys gardening and bike riding.  She and her husband Mike also enjoy riding their motorcycle together.
